To my subscribers…
Despite making my first ever video production recently, (I’ve included a link to the video and my rumble channel in later sections) I want you to know that I am passionate about my Substack series and will continue writing without a doubt. How frequently I can manage doing so is the question that time will tell.
I currently balance a full time work-from-home career and a home life and living space I share with a significant other and 3 pets. I don’t mention this to gain any sympathy, as I know I’m not the only writer or content contributor in such a position. I simply want to be upfront with you early in my writing series about my limitations and upfront about what at times may be a difficult balance to strike.
Despite any realistic restrictions reality may impose on my situation however, I will admit that writing and gathering my ideas and research into a concrete manner to be expressed with the world has been a very motivating, encouraging and humbling experience. At times it may also be challenging but most of all I just feel passionate and driven to do something I haven’t done in quite some time. It’s a catalyst I haven’t experienced since pre-Covid, honestly.
So I fully intend to continue writing as often as the opportunity allows and I look forward to sharing my research, analysis and insights with those of you interested in them as frequently as I can. Writing however, comes with some challenges, discipline and a grasp of the English language which are among muscles I have not exercised much since my college years. While I learn to get back on that horse and make for a more efficient and less bumpy ride… I’ve decided to try my hand at some video content as well as the work can be more easily tackled in chunks throughout my day and then created all at once mostly.
Rumble videos
I hope you’ll enjoy my first ever Rumble video:
FAN FRICTION
I had a number of reasons for making this content as a video rather than a Substack article. First of all being that I wanted to get the content out in more of a ‘stream of consciousness’ delivery method as I reviewed and discussed the article at hand. Additionally I felt the topic would be more easily digestible in such a format (even if perhaps longer). I also recognized that if others out there are anything like myself, that some folks may prefer audio or video content that can be sped up at various speeds or listened to and digested while doing other activities like exercise, travel etc. I also felt that this video sort of ran against the grain of the intended timeline or outline I had initially laid out for my next writings. Finally, I also wanted to get this information out somewhat quickly. (HA! I think the video editing and audio mixing learning curve might have made this actually take longer in the end!)
For now Rumble is the only place I intend to post videos. I don’t want to overwhelm myself with too many media sites to keep track of while I try to achieve a balance of writing, publishing and interacting with my audience as well as addressing the other aspects of my day to day.
Ultimately I hope you enjoy the video content there. I’m especially proud of this first video despite some rookie mistakes looking back (listed my substack as www.coga.substack.com despite it not containing a www…. whoops). If you’re on the platform consider giving a subscription and/or commenting if you enjoy it. For the time being I don’t have plans to do livestreams given my schedule but who knows what the future holds.
Other social media
I also wanted to share with you some of my other social media pages and be a but upfront about how I intend to interact with each audience, site or page.
I have a Twitter (I know but Elon might buy them out…), Truth Social, Telegram, FreeAtlantis.com and Twitch account currently (links below). I don’t really intend to use the Twitch account given their recent purge of patriots, but it’s there should things ever change, I suppose.
I find myself on FreeAtlantis.com (great site with a smaller, more focused community) and Telegram most frequently to engage with others in the community. I’m starting to use Truth Social more and more and intend to start being more interactive there since I know it’s a popular forum of choice.
Currently other than Substack I don’t have any means to accept donations or digital payments (unless I end up doing livestreams on Rumble where you can send Rumble Rants) though I may consider it as my involvement grows. I welcome paid subscriptions if you find value in the material I provide as it does take up a significant amount of time, research and organization. However, it’s not my main purpose for doing this and additionally I understand that we are in turbulent economic times and that each much look after their own first.
For the time being I’m mostly just entirely satisfied to have an audience at all, be writing again and sharing what has value to me with others around me and leaving it to them to determine if they find value it in as well.
The most encouraging thing you can do at this stage is simply read, watch or listen and either share, interact or comment on various media.
